Job Purpose
Market Intelligence plays a critical role in supporting Prudential’s business and strategy development through understanding the market place, competitors, customers, key stakeholders and other business issues, enhancing data driven decision making process and supporting strategic analysis and forecast, doing market research as an input for corporate strategy and business development

This position is a critical role within the Market Intelligence department. The Market Intelligence Manager will report to Market Intelligence Senior Manager. He or she will coordinate and work with departments and divisions within the organization to collect qualitative and quantitative data, internal and external information. Daily activities will include performing data analysis, defining target audience for reporting and information needs, and developing the necessary reports in response to support the company business decisions.
He or she will conduct research to provide support for strategy and executive management all the way to executive leadership, as well as business initiatives and opportunities.

Job Responsibilities
A. RESEARCH AND MARKET INTELLIGENCE MANAGEMENT
1. Coordinate and work with stakeholders outside and inside the organization to collect qualitative and quantitative data and internal and external information (both official and non-traditional).
2. Execute data integration and analysis by building descriptive model and predictive model with supports from Data Analytics Department.
3. Present business information, do business analysis, industry analysis, market research on data-driven basis to understand thoroughly the market place, foresee the emerging trends of consumer needs and competition propositions.
4. Deliver reports on the company’s businesses, market competitions, industry analysis, customer insights to support the business with information of the competitive landscape, being aware of market’s the opportunities and threats and the company’s strengths and weaknesses.
5. Assist in the development of full year market intelligence plan, which aligned with strategy development and business development plan

B. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
1. Support the MI Senior Manager in delivering reports and other tasks as requires.
2. Support the team in daily operation.
3. Provide coaching, on the job training and support subordinates.
4. Encourage subordinates to join professional training courses and acquire new professional analytical skills.
5. Help subordinates to develop their career roadmap.
6. Empower subordinates with specific assignments.

Job Accountability
• Work closely with Market Intelligence Senior Manager to understand the needs and translate them into business requirements.
• Perform functional analysis and data modeling. Identify and analyze relevant data sources to deliver on-time report for business decision support.
• Oversee/manage overall research/report delivery cycle.

Job Requirements
• Qualification: BA/ MBA/MA in Applied Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Foreign Trade, Insurance, and Banking.
• Experiences:
• At least 4 years of experience in financial insurance industries, multinational companies with at least 1-2 years in management role.
• Research and market intelligence experience, including understanding the market place, competitive strategies & customer insights, new trends.
o Demonstrate analytical thinking, strategic thinking and excellent writing report skills.
o Have passion and eagerness to learn new things.
o Be able to capture new trends, new technologies.
• Team and people management:
o Demonstrate strong collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
o People management accountabilities include coaching, supervising and providing feedback.

• Knowledge and skill set:
• Experience in gathering requirements and handling data analysis.
• Analytical thinker with good theoretical and research proficiencies
• Excellent writing report capabilities.
• Presentation of business information
• Business knowledge
• Communication skills to deal with business users
• Banking & life insurance industry is a plus
• Experience with data visualization & reporting tools such as SPSS, SAS, Microsoft BI, Qlik view will be considered a plus.
• Vietnamese & English fluency is a must.
